Year 2 had 2 very special visitors today who came to talk to them about how Maths is incorporated into their day jobs. Thomas’ mammy Anna talked to us about how she has to estimate and measure materials for buildings when they are getting built and the amount they have to charge for costing. The pupils got to answer some difficult maths sums. We also had Flynn’s mammy who is a Community Nurse. She talked about having to know the exact amount of medicine to give people to help them get better. She brought some syringes for the pupils to try and get the exact amount of water based on the sums she wrote out for them. We are so lucky to have so many great parents who are willing to help teach our pupils. We just loved having them in today!
