Our Primary 6 pupils put their maths and teamwork skills to the test in a fun and engaging pizza-themed activity in celebration of Maths Week. Working in small groups, the children had to calculate how many toppings were needed to for a selection of pizzas. Using problem-solving strategies and their knowledge of division, they discussed fair ways to spread out evenly items like pepperoni, mushrooms, olives and peppers. Once their calculations were complete, they got creative cutting out, designing and sticking toppings onto their very own pizza!
