Let’s go fly a kite!

As part of our World Around Us topic on Flight, Primary 6 had an exciting hands-on learning experience this week - designing and building their very own kites.
Pupils explored the forces of flight, including drag and lift, before putting their knowledge into an action. They had to carefully create their own structure, thinking about balance and aerodynamics.
The highlight of the activity was of course, testing their kites outside. Despite some trial and error, waiting for the wind to pick up (and a few tangled strings!) there was lots a laughter and learning as their kites took to the skies.
