Our cross country team participated in the Causeway coast and Glen’s Flahavan’s cross country race at The University of Ulster on the 24th November. In the mixed race Oisin McGlone and Emmett McCloskey came first and second in the boys’ race. Bronagh Murphy and Faye Murphy came first and second in the girls’ race. Not only was Bronagh the first girl to finish, she was also third overall in the mixed race.
In the girls’ competition Sophia Moore ran brilliantly to finish sixth. We had four runners in the top twelve, which helped our girls to finish first overall in the team event.
In the boys’ competition Aodhan McCloskey ran a tremendous race to finish fourth overall. All of our boys finished in the top third, which helped us to finish second overall in the team event.
Both our girls’ and boys’ teams have qualified for the Northern Ireland finals which will be held in January. Well done to everyone who participated.
